1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They contain information the site uses to remember, for example, your language, your consent choices or a session. Similar technologies include LocalStorage, SessionStorage and comparable browser storage, which we jointly refer to as 'cookies' in this policy.

Cookies can be set by us ('first-party') or by embedded third parties ('third-party'). They may be stored for a single session ('session cookie') or persistently with an expiry ('persistent cookie').
