This notice covers personal data as defined in Art. 4 (1) GDPR — any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, e.g. name, postal address, email address, phone number, and where applicable usage data such as your IP address.

All data is transmitted encrypted (TLS/HTTPS). We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorised access. Our employees are committed to confidentiality and receive regular data-protection training.

When you visit our website, our hosting provider processes technically necessary log data (anonymised IP address, date/time, requested resource, referrer, user agent). This data is processed solely to provide, stabilise and secure the service (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — legitimate interest) and is deleted or anonymised after a short retention period.

If you contact us via the event enquiry form or by email, we process the details you provide (e.g. name, company, email, phone, location, timeframe, staffing needs, notes) to handle your request and, where appropriate, for follow-up. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures/contract performance) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding).

We delete this data once it is no longer required, unless statutory retention obligations apply (in general up to 10 years under German commercial and tax law for contract-related correspondence).

We use cookies and comparable technologies only with your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG), except for strictly necessary cookies (§ 25 (2) TDDDG). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings; this does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing.

You have the right to information (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).

To exercise your rights, an informal message to info@sifat.de is sufficient. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR); for us this is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

We reserve the right to adapt this privacy notice so that it always meets current legal requirements or reflects changes to our services. The updated version will apply from your next visit.
